We pick you up at your hotel
We will go to your hotel in Arequipa at 9:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon. And we will start this tour.
Carmen Alto viewpoint
We begin the tour heading towards the district of Cayma to enter the Carmen Alto viewpoint, where we can appreciate the terraces of Arequipa, located on the right side of the Chili River and the three towering volcanoes that surround our city.
Viewpoint of Yanahuara
As the second point of this tour we will drive to the district of Yanahuara, we will see the San Juan Bautista Church located in front of the ashlar square, a beautiful church where the image of the Virgin of the Rosary stands out; and the viewpoint of Yanahuara formed by a series of ashlar arches in which the words of illustrious Arequipa people have been engraved and at the same time from where you can see the whole city and the imposing Misti...being appreciated even better if the sky is clear.
Sachaca viewpoint
A very outstanding district in Arequipa, Sachaca, the viewpoint of Sachaca where from the top you can see the extensive Arequipa countryside, the old and modern houses of the city and you can see the Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu volcanoes. This 19-meter high tower was built on top of the hill that housed the old Sachaca cemetery, remodeled in 1996.
Founder's Mansion
Then we will go to this palace built by Don Garcia de Carvajal, founder of Arequipa, in the last decade of the sixteenth century. According to the story, Carvajal had it built for his son. The Founder's Mansion is a colonial mansion, now converted into a museum, which houses important relics of the history of the city of Arequipa.
Sabandía
The last point that we will visit is the Sabandia Mill where the water mill is working and also a minizoologico that houses a particular way a fighting bull. The entrance is optional, if you want to stay outside you can find optional activities such as horseback riding, ATV ride, Zipline, and also taste typical Arequipa food.
Return to downtown Arequipa
Finally, we will return to the center of Arequipa at the Plaza de Armas to finish the tour.
